'Nightview' Series existing of mainly night photography Although we consider ourselves living in a modern world, underlying aspects of human existence present themselves similar to the way they did in the past. The Nightview series relates to classical landscape representation as in paintings through the medium of photography within a contemporary context. Titles always come last and although some refer to existing genre paintings, there is no intention of imitating already existing paintings. Others appear like road movie sceneries in a single, framed moment, without a storyline, reflecting a certain mysterious atmosphere. Ever since I got my first camera at the age of five, I take photographs while moving through space and time. As a teenager I learned to print my own photo's and experimented a lot in the dark room. I picked up photography again right after  successfully  finishing art school, in the directions of painting, drawing and graphic art. Photography is the most direct way to translate aspects of reality into still images. Moving through space and time I’m connected to the landscape. I use photography to fathom the scenery through a sequence of moments, concentrating on every aspect of my surrounding, sometimes even mapping it bit by bit. Finding a spot of interest, I can spend hours on the same spot, taking photographs of nearly every inch, approaching, distancing, giving meaning to small and simple things and at the same time capture the greatness of the incorporating surrounding, resulting in strong and powerful images, sometimes with a certain cinematographic tension. ' Saal Digital ' is een redelijk nieuwe aanbieder van print producten op de Nederlandse markt. Het bedrijf richt zich daarbij niet alleen op de veeleisende consument, maar ook op professionals. Via een 'profi-direct-upload' kunnen professionele media designers, graphic designers, illustrators en fotografen foto's en afbeeldingen met behulp van eigen programma's bewerken en naar eigen zeggen "eenvoudig" in de webshop uploaden. Als kunstenaar veelal werkend met fotografie werd ik gekozen door 'Saal Digital' om een van hun print producten te testen. De keuze Als beeldend kunstenaar verwerk ik mijn fotografie vaak als onderdeel van een sculptuur of  als 'elementen'  in een installatie. Maar veel van mijn foto- en digitaal werk is ook beschikbaar om aan de muur te hangen en komt in allerlei formaten. Mijn werk wordt internationaal getoond in galeries, expositieruimtes en musea.
